The Regents of the University of California have delegated the authority to execute contracts involving the purchase of items and/or services on behalf of UCLA to the purchasing offices.
UCLA Campus Purchasing has the delegation for purchase contracts, subcontracts, and standard purchase orders, and has responsibility for the campus, including the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. That includes both goods and services.
UCLA Health Procurement and Strategic Sourcing (also referred to as "Hospital Purchasing") has the delegation for purchase contracts and standard purchase orders, including both goods and services, but generally not research. The delegation is limited to:
(For example, gift funds or plant account funds are not in the above set of funds and would therefore go through Campus Purchasing.)
Please contact the appropriate purchasing office to begin the processing of your request:
Please note that these offices will consult with the UCLA Health Office of Legal Affairs on any legal issues, as necessary.
